Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my website! I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Politics at Swansea University and an associate member at Oxford University’s Department of Politics and IR.

My research is on comparative and European politics. My projects focus on the emergence, development, and resilience of democratic institutions, with a special interest in political parties ranging from the center to the far right.

My sole- and co-authored work has been published in Political Research Quarterly, Social Science History, and German Politics and Society. My first book on the politics of party adaptation is under contract with the University of Chicago Press.

Before joining Swansea, I worked as a Departmental Lecturer in Comparative Politics at Oxford University and as a Stipendiary Lecturer (Career Development) in Politics at Oxford University’s Pembroke College. I also was a visiting researcher at Yale University and the University of Vienna. I completed my PhD (DPhil) at Oxford University (Nuffield College).
